Native of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Jean-Michel obtained his Bachelor of Science in 2015, majoring in Biology and minoring in Chemistry, from Université de Moncton. His passion for environmental law and his desire to help others led him to pursue a career in law. In 2018, he obtained his Juris Doctor from the same university.

During his last year of law school, he was treasurer of the student council; he was also involved with various student committees throughout his legal studies. He was awarded a variety of distinctions and scholarships, one of which was for excelling in tax law.

Law school allowed him to discover the different facets of law. Articling with Actus Law Droit will give him the opportunity to explore a wide variety of areas that the law has to offer and to practice in both official languages. After only a few months on the field, he has already found his place within the firm working in employment law, contractual law and estates.

In his spare time, being still very passionate about biology, he enjoys spending time hiking, travelling, kayaking and fishing. When he is not outdoors, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his friends and family.
